Picklebet Review

Most punters associate Picklebet with E-sports. And you aren’t wrong for doing so – I personally did as well until writing this review. It’s true that Picklebet initially focused solely on esports betting, and advertised this point strongly during their launch years. However, many of you may be surprised to realise (as I was) that Picklebet has since diversified to offer sports betting and horse racing, making it a one-stop shop for bettors.

Once known as Australia’s premier esports bookmaker, the company has gained a strong, dedicated following and is recognized for offering some of the most competitive odds across hundreds of markets. In addition to esports, Picklebet now covers over 20 traditional sports and horse racing, both domestically and internationally. The platform is known for its reliable daily advice, esports news, and is one of the fastest-growing betting companies in Australia.

About Picklebet

Founded in 2017 as by esports enthusiasts Damon Oudejans and Nick Heaney, Picklebet initially aimed to cater specifically to Australian esports fans. This changed in In 2021, when the company broadened its offerings to include traditional sports betting for popular sporting codes, along with horse and greyhound racing. The expansion makes Picklebet a comprehensive betting platform that continues to attract interest from punters. Picklebet has even began to introduce some ‘new-age’ markets like same game multis for NRL and AFL, or same race multis if you are more into racing.

If you are into E-sports betting then Picklebet is probably the best bookie available in Australia (and maybe even globally) right now. They have successfully established itself as Australia’s premier esports betting site, offering daily odds on a wide range of esports events from games like CS:GO and Dota 2 to FIFA and Rainbow Six.

The platform has become one of the most competitive and fast-growing betting sites in the country. With a well-designed website and mobile app that includes features like esports news, tips, previews, and live streaming, Picklebet goes the extra mile to create an intuitive and user-friendly betting experience.

Picklebet Betting Markets

If you are after E-sports betting markets, then Picklebet has it all! The list of E-sport markets seems almost infinite, with dozens to hundreds or markets seemingly being available each and every day.

If you are more into sports betting and racing, then Picklebet still has you covered. You will find similar sports betting markets to most of the top Australian bookies. Same game multis are also available for most Australian sports, and the odds seem pretty competitive.

Picklebet is catching up on racing markets, recently introducing same race multis and a generous array of specials and promotions. At the time of writing, they still do not however offer exotics, which is bad news for all you quaddie hunters.

However, one racing feature I love is Picklebet’s Top 4 Betting. Rather than being limited to win or place, you can choose any horse to be the winner, top 2, top 3 or top 4. Similar to same race multis, however you can place this selection on its own. You may not always get the best odds, but I have time and time again seen value slip in through Picklebets bookmakers.

Overall, Picklebet’s betting markets remain competitive, especially if you are into E-sports betting. As someone who has made good money betting on E-sports by blindly putting a bunch of favourites into a multi – I bet there is a lot of money to be made for those who are willing to put in the time and effort.

Picklebet App

Having used over 40 Australian bookie apps, some for more time than others – Picklebet’s is definitely in the top 3. The app is quick, clear and intuitive. Within 2 minutes of using the app, I was quickly and easily navigating though markets, placing bets and depositing more money as necessary. The betslip in Picklebet is by far one of my favourites, where selections can easily be added and removed.

Picklebet Website

Just like the app, the Picklebet Website is quick, clear and easy to use. I assume it has something to do with the fact that they originally targeted gamers and E-sports enthusiasts – who put a lot of Merritt into user interfaces and the likes. Everything is where you think it will be. There is no time wasted trying to find your next bet or work your way around the site.

Picklebet Odds

You definitely won’t be getting the best odds on Picklebet, but you also won’t be getting the worst. Some of the odds on top 4 betting feature mentioned are laughable. However, if you have confidence in a roughy who might you believe will be up there with the winners, there is can be some great hidden value.

If you’re into same game multis, the odds are great on Picklebet, and the rest of the sporting odds remain comparable.
